Animal Advocates is a non-profit animal rescue and education organization. We are recognized by the IRS as a legal 501 3c corporation FIN 48-1287089 operated by a Board of Directors since 2002. We are also a legal California non-profit corporation which is active entity number C2472297 founded in 2002. Animal Advocates is registered with the California Attorney General entity #12118 since January 2003. Animal Advocates is located in the Los Angeles County area but serves most of Southern California.

Mary Cummins and Animal Advocates work with local city and private animal shelters, schools, private groups and other rescue organizations to rescue and rehabilitate wild animals. Mary Cummins and Animal Advocates are permitted by the California Department of Fish & Game and USDA. We've had our USDA permit with no violations since inception in 2003. Animal Advocates specializes in coyotes, bobcats, raccoons, opossums, raccoons, skunks, squirrels, moles, voles, gophers, wild mice, wild rats and bats. Animal Advocates does not rescue birds. We are a 100% "green eco-friendly organization from our Prius and Leaf cars to our organically grown vegetables and compost bins. We only feed Vegan food at our events in accordance with Food for Thought.
